Slope Zero
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL Y8 SLOPE GAME.
Inspired by that popular Slope game (y8.com/games/slope) and recreated in Godot
I added ramps, loops, rolling logs, status effects from loot boxes, and (three) skins to it
QE/AD/←→/D-pad/Left Joystick/swipe to steer
WS/↑↓/D-pad/Left Joystick/swipe to accelerate forwards/backwards when you have the up/down arrows status effect
Space/Enter/A to play/retry (or you can click/tap it)
Note: After clicking "Play", the game might seem to freeze for a moment (while the music is playing). If this happens, you might be able to fix it by pressing a key and/or clicking in the frame. If it doesn't work, wait a moment and try again.
Other note: If the game lags during the loading screen, please don't click, because you might accidentally click the start button through the loading screen. I couldn't work out why this bug was happening, so I couldn't fix it.

You are only allowed to embed this game into another page if you make it clear to the user that the original game is here (andthereitgoes.itch.io/slope-zero). awesome game, the dopamine you get from going really fast and being above the platforms is unbeatable. here are some things i have to say
• a shield powerup would be cool. it sounds generic but i have an idea to make it not as generic. when you fall in the void with a shield, you lose it and you get a boost upward and forward.
• make every item have a specific beam color. its hard to identify which item is which when you are like a million feet in the air, so this would make it easier to tell.
noted, but I kinda stopped working on this version and I’m making a sequel. also the point of the beams is that when you’re high up you don’t know what mystery boxes they are so you can gamble by flying or you can stay safe on the hazardous ground

This has been my favorite game of the year, and I am truly sad that it did not end up as a nominee for game of the year. I couldn't imagine the hard work and dedication the creator had to put into this game to make such a functional, enjoyment-fulfilling game. Thank YOU for making this game, I can't wait for the next update!
and since you’re one of the only ones to comment, what would you like in the next update?
I was thinking, maybe a power up that increases the duration of all of your pre-existing power ups by a certain duration? Maybe by a multiplicative amount, or a set +10 seconds to all. I believe that this upgrade is balanced, as it can be good in many scenarios, but also can be bad to pick up if you have upgrades that you do not want, I.E. increased gravity. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to promote concepts that I believe can make the game more unique, and even more enjoyable.
